Memorial plaque to musicologist and university professor Vladimír Helfert on the square in Plánice. Prof. PhDr. Vladimír Helfert was born on April 24, 1886 in Plánice. During his life, he was a musicologist, composer, and professor of musicology at the MU Faculty of Music in Brno. In the years 1920–1939, he worked as a conductor of the Orchestral Association in Brno. In 1920, he founded the Music Archive of the Moravian Regional Museum in Brno. In 1937, he became chairman of the Moravian-Silesian Committee of the Institute for Folk Song.
