Velhartice - Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary
The Gothic reconstruction of the late Romanesque sanctuary of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, dominating the Velhartice, took place around 1330, the north side of the nave remained standing from the older building. The portal to the nave, the masonry, and the assumed type of the pavlačové tribune correspond to the original Velhartic church at the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries. Some sources state this figure a hundred years earlier, but experts do not always accept this date. It is also believed that the tower was built subsequently, as was the sacristy, which was built in 1833.
