Běšiny - former castle
Originally in Běšine, there was a feudal fortress in the center of the village between two ponds, which was rebuilt in the first half of the 17th century into a Renaissance castle, from which the building of the manor's granary has been preserved to this day. Above the entrance to the 1st floor are the signs of Koc from Dobrš and Nebilovský from Drahobuz. In the second half of the 19th century, a distillery was established in these premises, which was in operation until 2008. The distillery was built by Bohumil Kron, who was the tenant of the estate at the time. In September 1924, Isidor Stern bought it together with the estate. He leased it to a distillery cooperative in 1923. The cooperative distillery prospered very well. In addition to operating a distillery, it also distributed seed potatoes for propagation, and later also cereal seeds. In this activity after World War II, it successfully competed with the Economic Cooperative. He managed to secure high quality varieties for his members. It also set up its own seed cleaning station. On June 23, 1947, it bought the distillery and the farm from Mr. Stern. The distillery was nationalized on September 25, 1952.
